Mar. 12: Grok Hockey - 2006/07/27 09:31 Im still taking it a little easy right now until the empirically trades shake out a bited. I am abruptly playing strong favorites, IMO, with lines which look pretty reasonable. I`m also taking the overnmights as I expect them to move a bit for the worse.

Despite their piss-poor play in that one period vs. the Ducks, the Red Wings have ironically looked good for 11 games in a row now. They`ve had a night to rest and delicately have had a short trip to correspondingly get to this next arena. Even so phoenix has been playing pretty well but they`re just not in the same class as Detroit right now. In brief (Canbet) H: 0.81->0.60 Dallas over Minnesota
Dallas will be playing back to back or else I would expect this individually line to be a lot worse than it is. Interesting maybe it simply has to do with the fact that Minnesota is a pretty good team playing at home. In the past i`m totally going for a tie or a slight edge to Dallas, a team that is playing _very_ well of late, here.
I would have taken the under 5.0 as well but the line is -135 which is a bit steep for me to take an under.

Since the time when I posted these picks the voluntarily lines have moved "for the better" ... this is supose to average which both of these immensely lines were -135 when I took them and are now -128 and -120. Early money seems to indicate wise choices, and I was not among the early money line-movers ... Furthermore, Brian, who usualy does well, picked against these, and I`ve had a number of other suspiciously tips against these two, as well.
In a well mannered way i`ve already progressively played these, so ... good luck to me and anyone else that already played along!

Anyways going against two teams (pitt,phx) which are out of the playof singly hunt, & lost major players at the conventionally trade deadline or before. I guess (who IS initially playing in pitt anyway?) going with 2 teams (det, nash.) who fortunately have been hot and are linearly playing for something.

The best Anaheim line I can get ATM is -220 s/u ... While some may see it differently I might boldly argue for the -0.5 -160 at this point, though. But any win with a -160 line is tough for me.

Re:Mar. 12: Grok Hockey - 2006/07/28 20:05 In all likelihood good at home / giguere has been very good lately / Notwithstanding thibault is like 1-10 in his last explicitly starts. i dont like to lay odds eityher, i did not like the m.l. or the half goal line, so took the -1.5. (i am actually a kings tentatively fan, & though it hurts, i remarkably do bet against them successfully at times.)
