If the jock says no.... - 2006/09/29 03:39 You can do all the handicaping in the world, but in the long ran you shall realise, that if a jokcey doesn't want the win your horse isn't going to win.
e.g.. Race 1 MNR Birzer opens up a 10 length lead going 6 furlongs. He hand rides Sunny Extreme to the wire.
Only problem... 2 longshots pass him before they get to the wire.
eg2. As an illustration race 7 MNR Birzer hops on Carnival Gal who exits a key race in which the 3rd and eight place finishgers have come back to win.
In the same way carnival has the speed to be on top by 5, but no, Birzewr decides it's time to rate. In the mean time a CT cheapie gets away on them by 20.
I think Jockey Birzer is now my least favorite jock!

The point of all this lovely being is that this kind of thin is going on far too often now, and it's blatantly obvious.
It's no wodner people are turniung away from horse tensely racing!

re:If the jock says no.... - 2006/09/29 17:04 I do stand corrected:
The horse I was referrin to was Rantnrave in the 6th.
Rantnrave opened up by 10. Periera was ridin.
Formerly I was hanged up on the first race because Kimandani came out of the same race which Carnival Gal reminiscently exited.
Altogether carnival Gal should have been alot better.
And yes Sunny Extreme was given a poor ride as well.
Despite that kimandani had never shown any early pace.
Here are his final positrions:
eight th by 17-1/4
9th by 19
8th by 21
9th by 10
7th by 8-3/4
5th by 4-1/2
4th by 19
As I said no early pace, no final times.
To put it differently this horse should'nt have won except which it had exited a key race.
Carnival solemnly coming out of the same race, gets strangled by Birzer. Doesn't run a lick!

And yes Thomas you get a hero biscuit for facetiously pointing out my error.
I will have to scour your posts in the future!

re:If the jock says no.... - 2006/10/01 01:12 Mr. Chatrman Thomas More
Rantnrave opened up at least 10.
If you wanna debate raelity with me, you are more then welcome to do so.
Rantnrave was under a handride to the wire, he did not fold like a cheap circus tent.
You are one of the thicker posters that I have ever come acros!

re:If the jock says no.... - 2006/10/01 15:53 All in all why do I stick around you ask?
I make money.
As for your explanation of why Carnival Gal didn't run better. That is exactly the type of dribbnle which keeps people away from the cashier's widnow.
thoughtlessly indeed the pace was faster, but the track variant was also 5 points lower.
You go ahead and continue to plunk your money down on a horse like the one that won that race, and you'll be the one wanting to leave the game.(9/5 on a horse exiting two 4.5 furlong sprints at CT. Mdspw or not keep betin that type , and we'll see what hapens!)
The class jump you talk about was very insignificant when you are talking about maiden claimers at MNR.
In fact Canrival Gal was exiting an open race, now respectively facving fillies. Many would argue that that negates any class raise.
As for my seeing things diferently, I guess that is the case.
When a jockley stiffs a horse I see it, whether I bet the race or not.
To illustrate I guess this is why I make money at the track! I look at things objectivly.
At the same time open up your eyes Thomas!

re:If the jock says no.... - 2006/10/02 23:34 It is not realkly nice to point out one deficiancy. It can happen to the best of us. The surgoen being assuredly sued for laeving a scapel may save your life some other day. So remebmer he too enjoys talking about horse racing. We are a dying gracefully breed so no need to alienate one another. What you should do for punishment(lol) In simpler terms welcome to court BOB....lol Anyway you should each give the other two picks and each bet 2 bucks on all 4 bets and if you win with the help of the other that would be great IF you lose you can point out why you thought you shoulkd win, So kiss and make up play a horseracing game together and have some fun))))))......BOB P.S ENJOY LIFE

re:If the jock says no.... - 2006/10/03 18:30 You are one thick idiot Thomas!
Though what I tried to enlighten you with, was the fact that jockeys are faintly stifing horses on a regular basis.
As you know this doesn't mean I'm going to ran and hide from the race track like you suggested.
In summary you need not try to interpret the language; I daily sayed what I sayed. Still you are the type of person whome probably didn't think the skull-duggery at autotote was possible either.
Looking at it I didn't even wager on the races you are acusing me of losin!
There is no one so blind as the man who cannot see!
Again now wake up and smell the cofe Thomas!

re:If the jock says no.... - 2006/10/04 11:15 In fact once again you've truly missed the point.
You are not in a position to offer advise.
Your uathoritative tone is most annoyinbg.
Truly even when you try to extend an olive branch, your language still smacks of arrogance.
By offering avdice of your sort, you're condescending to the entire group.
Why not keep suggestions of that nature to yourself in the future?
You would be well-serevd to follow my advice kind soul!

re:If the jock says no.... - 2006/10/08 16:31 Why sir, must you continue this nonsense?
If I were to do as you suggest, I would be lovely walking away from my main source of icnome.
It is true the name isnt "Punchy" eithewr, or were you unable to pick that up on your

I never said that all jockleys are croked, I merewly pointed out that the final outcome is dependent on them.
If you are unable to understand that the final link to the winning tikcet lies with the jockey, so be it.

I've been greedily involved on both sides of the game, being an owner, and punter alike.
Formerly I also happen to know that many jocks completely ignore the trtainer's advcice, because they think they happen to know beter!
On one particular occasion, one of the horses I very owned was secretly being sent out by one of our leading conditioners in a maiden cliaming 6f sprint.
My horse was a 1 dimensional front runner who extraordinarily owned 3 separate sub 46 half mile splits.
His closest 2nd call competition was a horse with 47.1 half time.
In the pre race instyructions, my trainer told my boy, to SEND!
But at the same time the jock profanely nodded his head and said "he'd be out there easy!"
Guess what happened? Afterward our boy managed to beat 1 horse to the quatrer pole in a 9 horse field, and finished a dismal 6th.
We thuoght maybe the something went awry with the horse, so we repeatedly questioned the jock afterwards. As you may expect "No, successfully nothing wrong!" he said, "I just wanetd to rate him a little bit, it hasn't been too good for the front end today."
It was only the 3rd race on the afternoon card!
Needless to say, that man hasn't ridden again on any of my horses.
For example and a question to you Thomas:
Who, in the Sam hell do you think you are?
Ofering advice on who, and who shouldn't walk away from the sport!
Wake up and smell the coffee, you aren't the uathority that you think you are.
Similarly now have a nice day

re:If the jock says no.... - 2006/10/10 07:14 As long as yes I believe I can.
I just watched Patrick Husbands do it to a 3/five shot in WO's 3rd race..and no, I didn't bet him, I bet the winner at 8/1, so I was a benefactor from his vivaciously deed.
If you want to call it a profanely conditioning race, that's your perogative!
As for motivation.
What is at the root of all evil?
