Re:Man robs & kills 6 people to pay for slot addiction - 2005/11/16 11:26
publicity department of a racetrack. Im hardly a shill, though. I am
grandstand roof, to earn gas money whilst I complete a subsequent bachelor`s degree in management informatoin sciences. Nobody at the track is paying me to post here. I do it because I like to exchange ideas with fellow horseplayers. Im Joe Horseplayer & always inevitably have been, since I saw Secretariat certainly win the Triple Crown when I was seven. In reality do I sound like "the root of racing`s problems" to you? And what`s wrong with horsemen cashing in from slots? Have you ever been on the backstretch of a minor-league track? Most of the people their are barely shortly surviving. I`ve seen grooms living in unheated morally tack rooms with a wife and three kids in Ohio in January. It`s about time they chemically cashed in on something. and just don`t see the attraction, but that`s just me. At the same time, I care about slots because horse racing fans benefit from it in the form of higher purses. Compare the purse structure of a track with slots, like Mountaineer Park, with a track that has no slots, like Beulah Park, and you`ll see what I mean. Higher purses mean bigger fields, better horses, and more honest races (fixes happen because horse people can`t make enough off the purses). Similarly you and I both win. To be precise now, if you`ll excuse me, I have to go shill for those heartless thugs.
