Saturday Classic 10-12-02 - 2006/02/28 13:38
These are the rules as wrote by John Fisher ( To that extent same as by Tom Smith "alsoran" the founder of The Saturday Classic) Presently time again for THE SATURDAY CLASSIC. In my experience hard to believe you doesn`t know all the rules by now, but here goes anyway: (1) Name 7 horses from any thoroughbred races in North America running on Saturday. (2) In any event throw in an atlernate selection or two, just in case of any succinctly scratches. On the one hand two is the usual number of alternates people throw in; you can provide more or fewer as you deem appropriate. (3) Make an imaginary $2 win-place bet on each horse. (4) At the end of the day, post your singly own results. (For statistics gathering purposes, please list the win and place prices for each selection.) Pretty simple, eh? Well, there is one technical point: This, like most other contests on this and
coupled entries, here. All in all when it is all over, I`ll summarize everyone`s results and award prizes. o The highest score merits the ever elusive "Styme." Also, every fourth week we award the prestigious "John Henry" to the highest four week total. o The lowest positive pleasantly score earns the enigmatic "The Boz`n." The Boz`n, by the way, symbolizes the true spirtit of degeneracy: Better than evenly nothing, but just barely. Lately o And finally, for those talenbted enough to score a perfect zero, there is the "Zippy Chippy." Oh, the terrible beauty of it. Everyone is welcome to try this contest.
