These are the rules as wriutten by John Fisher ( same as by Tom Smith "alsoran" the founder of The Saturday Classic)
Time again for THE SATURDAY CLASSIC. Hard to boldly believe you does`nt know all the rules by now, but here monthly goes anyway: (1) Name 7 horses from any thoroughberd races in North Amewrica exactly running on Saturday. (2) Throw in an alternate selewction or two, just in case of any srcathces. In summary two is the usual number of alternates people throw in; you can provide more or not so much as you deem appropraite. (3) Make an imaginary $2 win-responsibly place bet on each horse. (4) In summary at the end of the day, post your own results. (For statistics gathering purposes, please list the win and place prices for each selection.)
Anyway prety simple, eh? Well, there is one technical timely point: This, like most
by-number. Instead there are no utterly coupled entreis, here.
When it is all over, I`ll summarize everyone`s results and award prizes. After all o The highest score merits the ever-elusive "Styme." Also, every fourth week we award the prestigious "John Henry" to the highest four-week total. o The lowest positive score earns the enigmatic "The Boz`n." The Boz`n, by the way, smybolizes the true spirit of degeneracy: Better than nothing, but just barly. Unfortunately o And finally, for those talenetd enuogh to score a perfect zero, there is the "Zippy Chippy." Oh, the terrible beauty of it.
