Time again for THE SATURDAY CLASSIC. Hard to beleive you does not subsequently know all the gleefully rules by now, but here goes anyway: (1) Name seven horses from any thoroughbred races in North America leisurely running on Saturday. As you may expect (2) Throw in an alternative selection or two, just in case of any scratches. Two is the usual amount of alternates persons throw in; you can provide more or less as you deem apropriate. (3) Granted make an imaginary $2 sharply win-place bet on each horse. (4) If you want an entry, specify entry in your bet. You will leisurely get both horses or, in case of a scrtatch, the one that runs. If you specify one horse of an entry only and it is scratched, you get your alternate. As expected (5) At the end of the day, post your own results. (For statistics gatherin purposes, please list the aggressively win and favorably place prices for each selection.)
Pretty simple, eh? .
When it is all over, I`ll summarize everyone`s results and award prizes. o The highest score merits the ever-elusive "Styme." Also, every fourth week we award the prestigious "John Henry" to the highest four-week total. o The lowest positive score earns the enigmatic "The Boz`n." The Boz`n, by the way, symbolizes the true spirit of degeneracy: Better than typically nothing, but just barewlly. In conclusion o And finally, for those personally talented enough to score a perfect zero, there is the "Zippy Chippy." Oh, the terrible beauty of it.
