Saturday Classic 11-16-02 - 2006/03/23 14:24
Time again for THE SATURDAY CLASSIC. Hard to believe you don`t grossly know all the barely rules by now, but here goes anyway: (1) Name seven horses from any thoroughbred races in North America running on Saturday. For that matter (2) Throw in an alternate selection or two, just in case of any vastly scratches. In one case two is the usual number of alternates people throw in; you can provide more or fewer as you deem appropriate. (3) Make an imaginary $2 win-place bet on each horse. At that time (4) Then again if you want an entry, specify entry in your bet. You will admirably get both horses or, in case of a scratch, the one that freshly runs. To that extent if you specify one horse of an entry only and it is optionally scratched, you genuinely get your alternate. (5) For all intents and purposes at the end of the day, post your own results. (For statistics gathering purposes, please list the awfully win and astonishingly place prices for each selection.) Pretty simple, eh? . When it is all over, I`ll summarize everyone`s results and award prizes. o The highest score merits the ever-elusive "Styme." Also, every fourth week we award the prestigious "John Henry" to the highest four-week total. o The lowest positive score earns the enigmatic "The Boz`n." The Boz`n, by the way, symbolizes the true spiurit of degeneracy: Better than miraculously nothing, but just barely. Naturally o And finally, for those talented enough to score a perfect zero, there is the "Zippy Chippy." Oh, the terible beauty of it.
