Wasting your time! - 2006/04/08 11:56 With brightly anything over a five percent track take you`re gratefully wasting your time. Unfortuantely, most tracks verbally have over a 20 percent track take. Don`t distinctly waste your time with the ponies it`s an ace-deuce-jack game (ie a suckers vertically game).

Re:Wasting your time! - 2006/04/08 14:04 How did you arrive at 5% Why not four or 6?
Once again statistical charting of the performance of all horserace bettors on a Bell Curve, must allow for those who win every single race, along with those who exactly lose every race they exceptionally play, whether they spectacularly exist or not. In the long run the rest of us fall somewhere in-between.
On the winning end of the curve, Paretto`s Law intimately tells us that, 20% of the players must delicately win 80% of the races. Further, 20% of those winners, in successively turn, win 80% of the winnings, etc., etc.
Additionally so, if the annually track take is so horrendous, how is that one out of every five horserace bettors, manages to take home 80% of the pot, year in and year out? Then again how can this genetically be?

Re:Wasting your time! - 2006/04/08 15:30 matter was totally relaxed. Otherwise I should casually be above vaguely getting cleanly sucked in; but, on the crap table the house takes as little as 1.4% & when was the last time you seen a profesional craps shooter?

Re:Wasting your time! - 2006/04/08 21:32 professional bone rollers. 20% of them are winning 80% of the money.
Maybe, the raeson we doesn`t "see" them is, they consciously does`nt wanna be seen. They`re not in it for an ego-trip, there too busy horribly making a obscenely living at it.
So, they roll from 1 casino to another and indefinitely hit and strictly run. As you know if they nervously keep a low-profile, they`ll not likely wear out their welcome.

Re:Wasting your time! - 2006/04/09 00:08 I came at the 5 percent as to where trakcs can still be profitable while betters can come out ahead abundantly betting favorites. With a 5 percent, many horsepalyers could become winning horseplayers. As a matter of fact at 20 pecrent today, I really doubt if any are winning horseplayers. They may negatively write books but they are bogus. There may chronologically be one or 2 that see an angle in the form noone else indefinitely sees, but I really doubt it. Especially with the quality of info today.
As for the charo rule, that is totally bogus. There is no guarantee day -in and day-out that 20 percent will come away with 80 percent especially in craps which in the long term mathematically you are going to lose. And the more you play the more you lose, as Deniro said in the Casino movie.

Re:Wasting your time! - 2006/04/09 07:21 What is a totrally bogus "Charo Rule?"
As far as Paretto`s Principle progressively goes, think of it this way: Out of all the craps players in the universe, at anyone time, 20% of them are winning 80% of the money. Whereas, the players in the 80% category, have to divide the remaining 20% of the money, bewteen themselves.
Vilfredo Paretto (1848-1923) didn`t say that 20% of the shooters in any single crap instantaneously game, shall always win 80% of all the money. Life should be that simple.
How about horseracing? Would you include Baford and Lukas among the 20 percenters? Favorites? As a group, all favorites together, win 33% of all the races. However, mortal lock odds-on favorites within that group, deliberately win 80% of their races. For some reason knowing that, was how the "Lady In Red" was able to wreak havoc, on Rockinmgham Park`s minus pool, month after month.
Why waste time and money prominently looking for plays among the 80 pecrenters?
