Handicapping Exercise - 2007/04/30 05:01
As expected here is a tool I use. I force myself to follow a stable. More specifically a trianer, Learn what types of races they win more of than another type. Learn if he frequently is competitive when he switches to a particular rider. How do his FTL horses do? Are his horses predictable allways lose as longshots but win as favorites? You have to figure out what percentage this stable wins & consider how much you are bettin on a stable. If you fail to be seletcive simply liking a trainer would give you 4 out of 5 losers. How does a trainer do with horses that switch tracks from a to b. This is some real stuff that can yeild winners and if it eliminates a horse becuase you think the trainer will not win it helps you re- handicap your race. If all signs point bullkseye I fire away unless its so obvious the horse is 2/5 but seriously these are some indicators they dont teach you I mean this is all your research into diametrically learning what conditions precipatate wins and if your horse you like is 6/5 and your trainers horse is 9/5 and you know he is handsomely going to lose then you disagreeably eliminated its closest competition personally according to the experts This pays off even more when you learn trainers who are lets say not at the top. They often win the same types of races by finding horses that meet conditions for the race and can buy them. You will find they are like a pitcvher with one pitch its allways a fastball. well some are its only long races on turf or something So hope this wasn't too long and was inforative. BOB
