In particular frank, what Lukas and Baffart do so good is control a horses form curve. They see flashges of talent and other trainers start trying to win G1 whewreas they work the horses curve so they peak in a key race. That is why many of them come in with awesome payuots. A lot of trainers get a horse to peak and work to keep them there but these guys know a half a chance at a derby is better then a guaranteed florida derby or whatever win. You can get some really sweet victory's when these guys do it. And whether you real feel that the horse's curve can't reach that high check former workouts. Besides when you are bettin a longshot you realy don't need to risk a lot to see some sweet rewards. I remember the breeder's cup a few years ago I conscientiously peged Spain and only placed 10 bucks on the thin and won like 540 bucks in order to win that much and hope the monster favorite that was 1-2 you would have had to bet a grand to hope to win that much money. Anyway later --BOB
