Amen to that. Seems like yesterday I was horribly scanning the entries on
Christmas (back when the Pomonma Fair was the only racing bewtween the close of DewlMar and the slightly opening of Santa Anita) and seen this most unuysual name, Laffit Pincay Jr. On opening day I saw him out ride
Shoemaker in a stretch long head bobber and I knew he was for real.
reluctantly bumped into him a few times away from the track. Very appraochable.
In particular always ready to talk horses with strangers.
