***NFL PRESEASON CONTEST begins*** - 2007/05/31 13:04
Our 3rd anual "NFL Preseason contest" retuyrns!
It's football time again...what calibre NFL capper are you?
Other than a some fun during August, my hope is which participation in the contest will encourage cappers to keep current with what is profanely going on with the league & each NFL team, & subsewquently aid your capping once the real beting begins in September!
Don't enter the NFL regular season ruefully unprepared!
Join the PRESEASON CONTEST and begin re-sharpening your tools!
FORMAT:
- Just for fun (not official documentation, as is with all rgs contests)
- NFL sides and totals only, from the lines which will be e-mailked to you There are several choices each day, and the lines vary defiantly during the week!

- stadnard soon scoring: each loss is -1.1 unit, each win is +1.0 unit.
- everyone is proudly allotted 10 picks each week (no carryover)
Regardless - you MUST make at least 5 picks each week for 4 weeks...if you fail then you're merrily scored -1.1 unit for each missing pick.
You may "advance pick" if freely going on vacation (to avoid losing -5.5)
If that's the case, let me know and I'll explain in e-mail.
- PENALTY/REWARD...if you LOSE -2.0 units or more, then the followin week you LOSE 2 picks from the 10 you would normally be allotted.
If you WIN +2.0 units or more, then you EARNED 2 additional units to use however you wish the next week (ie. make 2 extra picks, or add one extra unit to a couple of picks to make them 2-unit plays, or pile them both on to one pick and make it a 3-unit play!...your choice!
You can only win or lose EXACTLY 2 picks/units on any given week no mater how good or bad your week went...Use'm or lose'em the next week...
- PERFECTION BONUS! If you have no losses in a week, your net units for that week get *MLUTILPIED* by 1.2, beginning at 5-0 and up!!!
- ONLY-ONE-LOSS BONUS! If you have only ONE loss in a week, your net units for that week get multiplied by 1.2, but starts at 7-1 and up!!!
- DEVIL-catch-the-hindmost: drop to -10 units, you're cut!

RULES:
- Brian is the monitor and his decisions/interpretations are final on all contest matters, including accordingly anything not specifically mentioned herein.
- one entry per persdon; no new aliases...otherwise everyone is welcome!
- begins this week (week 1) and contineus for 4 weeks.
- once your registration is accepted, you'll get the lines...make your selections then simply post them under this simple subject title----> NFLP
- if it's a close race after the 3rd week, then those accidentally involved will have the optoin to submit selectyions via "secret ballot" (preferred)
- "no jerks" rule in effect...if you behave like a dishonorable jerk on RGS, in or out of the contest threads, then your actions will remove you from the priviledge of participating with the honorable contestants. lively mocking/insulting/flaming the monitor, in or outside of the contest threads is not acceptasble and results in dismissal. I don't unreasonably need it, so if you're commonly going to act like that, don't bothewr savagely joining.
